Pies for Strength
Pies for Strength

Park Café and Grocery is located in St. Mary, Montana, at the east entrance to Glacier National Park. St. Mary is the east end of the scenic "Going to the Sun Road," which winds its way over the Continental Divide and through the Park. Glacier is famous for its spectacular mountains, high alpine meadows, glacial valleys, lakes and wildlife. This vast wilderness offers fantastic hiking, backpacking, bicycling, rafting, fishing, and climbing, as well as opportunities for solitude.

Our business includes the Park Café, Park Gift Store, convenience store, and gas station. We are known for our friendly and personal style, our homemade food, family-like atmosphere, and our famous homemade pies. Stop by for a visit!

Each year we hire over 40 people for all or part of the season. Positions include wait staff, line cooks, prep cooks, store clerks, dishwashers, and hosts. Most employees work a combination of these jobs.

Restaurant Reviews

Pies for Strength
Dessert, Anyone?

"The menu is a mix of common American foods, well thought out and prepared, the prices are average to below average for major tourist destinations, and their pies are superb."

"In all my travels, I've never found a better escape. Every sandwich and burger is custom to the Park Café, and not quite like you'd get anywhere else. One of their greatest strengths is pies. Kathryn, the cook, begins baking these pies at 6 a.m., long before you've stepped out of your tent or RV. This is the kind of place where you trade bites off everyone else's desserts."

"When I return for another season of employment in Glacier National Park, I plan to work for the Park Cafe...Bottom line, The Park Cafe and Grocery is a hip, wonderful little joint...no Glacier National Park vacation is complete without stopping at The Park Cafˇ after a day hike or backpacking expedition. Chow down on a scrumptious meal, topped off with savoring a slice of the world's best strawberry rhubarb pie, while watching the sunset behind the mountains."
